Townhouse Villa:
Furniture Design + Production
Brief:
To design, procure and produce custom furniture, fixtures and equipment that are fit for purpose in the holiday home rental market in Bali.
Deliverables:
Furniture, linens, artwork, lighting, electrical goods, kitchen equipment, plants, accessories and toiletries for all spaces.
Outcome:
Inspired by the geometric furniture designs of modernist architect Pierre Jeanneret, I developed a collection of bespoke pieces that would complement and add warmth to the existing minimalist aesthetic at the villa. All made from locally sourced teakwood and produced with local craftsmen to achieve the intricate rattan weaving.
Additionally, I sourced high quality organic bedding and bathroom linens, contemporary glassware and ceramics for the kitchen / diner, branded toiletries for the bathrooms, plants and coffee table books as accessories, along with all the necessary modern kitchen equipment and electrical appliances. Artwork was a combination of seaside and surf photography from my own personal collection.
The villa has been successfully rented at 80% capacity since launching in one of the world’s most competitive marketplaces.
